Loads to Supports

ForteWEB member reports display loads to supports by load class: dead, floor, roof (IBC only), snow, wind and seismic. In Canada, these are service loads.

Loads To Supports include:

  • Member reaction due to the vertical loads on the spans.
  • Loads applied over support accessories (rim board, squash blocks, flush supports) that bypass the member but transfer directly to the support below. Seismic load applied directly over accessories will only transfer to linked members when the load is entered as a positive value. The seismic load will be evaluated as a positive and a negative load separately due to the load combinations, so there is no need to enter the load as a negative value.

ForteWEB® will display both the maximum downward and the maximum upward (uplift) load to a support for each individual load case.
